GOD USES BROKEN EGGS

Welcome to our new blog! We hope to share recipes for the body, the heart and the spirit here with our sisters and brothers in Christ Jesus. Each day look for a new banquet from the Lord to bless your day.

Along the way, we invite each of you to share your recipes with us ~ scriptures, food and thoughts. Let's break bread together in the Lord.

Come share the excitement with us!

COUNTRY BREAKFAST CASSEROLE

Your life will be as bright as the noonday sun, and darkness will seem like morning. (Job 11:17 NCV)

1 Roll Breakfast Sausage, Cooked
2 Cups Shredded Cheddar Cheese
6 Eggs BROKEN, lightly beaten
1 Cup Water
1/2 Cup Milk
1 Package Country Gravy Mix
6 Slices Bread, Crust removed, 1" Cubes
2 Tblsp. Melted Butter

In 9"x13" lightly greased (vegetable spray) spread sausage evenly. Sprinkle with cheese. Stir together: Eggs, water, milk and gravy mix. Pour over cheese. Arrange bread cubes over the mix. Drizzle with the butter.
Bake 325 degree oven 40 minutes.

Experiment!  Try new things with this recipe, and share with us the changes you make. For example, include cooked crumbled bacon. Or substitute shredded chicken for the sausage and use pepper jack cheese. Add veggies even!

Special Note. This freezes very well. Also carries perfectly for potlucks.

WE HAVE BROKEN SOME EGGS

NOW LET'S FIX SOME BROKENESS

Our lives are like this casserole; we all have broken pieces, but mix them all together and we become a tasteful treat for the Lord.

Psalm 34:8 NKJV Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good; Blessed is the man who trusts in Him!

    1. We have had 66 views, and we are the only ones clucking right now. But you know what.. if God uses this to let us have fun and laugh, then it is simply delightful. I am more blessed just from spending the time with my sweet sister. ♥
